2.0 Registration and Cancellation
2.01 Registration for C/D level play will occur each year from January to the end of March, while registration for A/B level play will occur in September or after final ID camps when team selections are made.
2.02 A waitlist will be started once the optimum number of players has been reached.
2.03 All registration fees must be paid by: a) April 1 st for C/D Levels b) October 1 st for A/B Levels
2.04 For the athlete to withdraw from the program, the parent/guardian for an athlete MUST submit a letter to the Lacombe Minor Softball Association President outlining the situation and reason for the request. This can be emailed to president@lacombegirlssoftball.com.
2.05 The request will be reviewed within 14 days of the submission.
2.06 To be granted a refund, the following will apply: a) A request for an athlete to withdraw from our Matrix C/D programs received prior to the 2nd Friday of March, or request to withdraw from our Selects A/B programs received prior to the 2 nd Friday of January will be subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of the registration fee paid. b) A request for an athlete to withdraw received after the 2nd Friday of March (Matrix program) OR the 2nd Friday of January (Selects program) and before the commencement of the season, will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the registration fee paid. c) A request for an athlete to withdraw received after the last day of March (Matrix program) OR the last day in January (Selects program) will not be eligible for a refund. 2.07 Lacombe Minor Softball Association will only consider a withdraw for the following reasons: a) A move/job transfer to another town or city. The new residence of the athlete MUST be outside of the registration boundaries of the Association. b) Medical reasons. A doctor's note/certificate must be included with the letter submitted to the Association for the request. c) If the extenuating circumstance does not fit the above criteria, the board will review each case individually.
