Snow Days/Practice Cancellations
Competitive & Pre-Competitive
Storm, weather and other emergency closures will be shared on our Social Media pages and by email if time allows. Snow days and practice cancellations throughout the season are expected and fees are set to reflect them. If an extreme case occurs where a significant amount of practice is missed, ie. the pool shuts down for two weeks, a solution will be provided such as make up practices, practices in other pools, or refunds, on a case by case basis.
AquaGo! and Masters Rec Programs
Storm, weather and other emergency closures will be shared on our Social Media pages and by email if time allows. Make up classes will be provided where possible, however they are not guaranteed and they may be offered on different days or at different times from the original missed practice.
Program Cancellation
Sea Stars Artistic Swimming has an on-going commitment to its members and to all families and athletes that participate in any of our programs. As a not-for-profit organization, our annual fees for the Club programs are based on all anticipated costs. Registrations received prior to scheduled start dates are considered a commitment to participate for that particular period therefore, resulting in a financial commitment. Once classes begin for the season the following cancellation policy will apply:
- Registration for that session will be non-refundable. (amount due at sign up)
- Monthly fees will only be charged in full for the months in which the athlete was active. For non-monthly programs (like Aqua GO!), you may be reimbursed for any future months not yet started. For example, if a program runs from September to November and you stop after the first class, you may be refunded for October and November.
- If team apparel has been ordered (names embroidered, specific sizing then the participant will be responsible for full payment. If a situation occurs and the apparel can be used by another swimmer, then this policy may not apply.
Program fees during the year are based on costs associated with pool time, coaching hours, team suits (if applicable), and the number of athletes registered in a program - recreational/pre-competitive or competitive.
Sea Stars Artistic Swimming has no intention of causing financial hardship to those who are unable to continue with the season in which they registered. Please keep in mind that parents, athletes or Sea Stars Artistic Swimming should not incur additional costs (out of pockets expenses) due to an athlete discontinuing their club membership.
